In light the of recent announcement of the initiation of Phase 2 of the re-opening of the province, Kawartha Centre – Redefining Healthy Aging would like to share their phased in re-opening approach. Kawartha Centre is gradually re-opening face-to-face meetings with patients and their loved ones while still continuing with the phone and virtual meetings where appropriate.
Screening for research trials for individuals with memory concerns has re-commenced. General consultations regarding memory concerns will focus on those who are interested in research primarily at this time.
Other individuals with general medical concerns (which may include memory concerns) and who are seeking a consultation will be triaged to see one of the specialists at the Kawartha Centre. We plan to open consultations beyond the research-ready or research-interested individuals in a phased fashion, with only one consultant on-site on any given day, and with careful scheduling to promote social distancing as per the advice of the Public Health Units.
Cleansing between patients will be done rigorously and proper PPE will be utilized.
Should you have concerns about memory complaints or research and wish to be seen in an expedited fashion, please call 705 749 3906 (Ext 211) or email the office firstname.lastname@example.org with requests. Please inform us if you are calling to be considered for our memory research programs.
